Mother’s Day has just passed, but the celebration carries on. One day is just not enough to honor and appreciate the woman responsible for bringing us to this world, raising us, and loving us unconditionally.
As a child, I saw my mom as someone who lets me sleep on her lap when I feel tired, hugs me whenever I fall, and reassures me that things will be alright. As I grew and eventually became a mother myself, I realized the extent of her impact, influence, and role in my life. It is then that I had a better appreciation of mothers.
I saw their strength, resilience, compassion, and care. Sometimes the things they do for us are left unappreciated, and so I’d like to take this chance to honor and appreciate all the mothers out there.
To the mothers –
who endure the sleepless nights to feed their babies,
who wake up early to prepare all their family’s needs in the morning,
who work to contribute to the family’s finances,
who endures the commute to and from the workplace,
who has to be apart from their family to support their needs,
who took a step back in their careers to focus on their families,
who sleep late to fix the messes of the day,
who tries to study to keep up with their kids’ need in homeschooling or online schooling,
who plan the meals,
who cooks for their families,
who puts their families needs ahead of hers,
who acts and fulfills the role of fathers,
who pray for their family well-being and future,
who try to put a brave face,
who support the dreams of their kids,
who strive to be good examples to their kids,
who pursue their passion alongside motherhood,
YOU are doing a great job! You are making a difference in the lives of your little ones and your life partner.
We may have different journeys, stories, and challenges in motherhood, but our genuine love for our kids brings us together. At times, you may feel low, frustrated, or just plain exhausted. We hear you; we feel it too. You don’t have to go through this alone. We, at Mamacademy, are rooting for you. We would love to encourage and connect with you, and so, we have come up with several programs to be closer to you, moms.
This month, we have launched Full and Filled 2021 Bouncing Forward. You can listen to candid conversations and real-life stories of moms about learning and pursuing their passions and potentials. You can watch the video snippets over at the Mamacademy PH Facebook page and listen to the full audio over at The MamacademyPH Podcast on Spotify.
We also launched #MOMversations last May 15. #MOMversations intends to give mothers a private and safe space to talk with other moms about the joys and challenges of motherhood. The first topic was about Overcoming Mom Anxiety. Stay tuned for the following schedule for June. We would love to meet you and talk to you.
Again, Happy Mother’s Month, Moms! Here is one of my favorite Bible verses that encourage me and remind me to have faith, especially when times get challenging and uncertain.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. – Jeremiah 29:11
